The film is based on the true story of Veerappan, a notorious bandit in south India. He was eventually caught and killed by the Indian army in 2005. The film tells his story that takes place before he was caught, during his last days. The movie stars Vijay Deverakonda as Veerappan and Bhoomika Chawla as Sangeeta Bheemeswari Bakshi, the protagonist looking for her missing husband. Veerappan is an upcoming Indian Kannada-language film directed by Suni, based on the notorious Indian bandit Veerappan. The film stars Vijay Devarakonda, Bhoomika Chawla and P. Ravi Shankar in pivotal roles. The theatrical trailer was released on October 27th 2018. On October 25th 2018, three teasers of the movie were released by Vijay Devarakonda himself via social medias like Twitter and Instagram.The soundtrack is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo (who has remixed old classics).
